NEFCO permitted, built, and operated and maintained this 38-dry ton per day biosolids management facility for the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD) from December 2002 through October 1st, 2018. This facility produces a Class A product that is used throughout New England.
Under NEFCO’s operation, the North Andover facility saved GLSD over $600,000 annually in operating costs by using digester gas to fuel the dryers, virtually eliminating the need for fossil fuels during the drying process.
